The new product transforms from a soft, fresh pull-apart into a warm, crispy bakery snack in four minutes when prepared as directed.

CANADA – Wonderbrands has launched Wonder AirCrisp™, a fresh bakery product developed specifically for air fryers, as the Canadian baker seeks to bring appliance-led convenience to the fresh bakery category.
AirCrisp is a fresh pull-apart bakery product that transforms from a soft texture into a warm snack with a crisp exterior and a soft, airy interior in about four minutes when prepared according to package instructions.
Wonderbrands describes it as the first fresh bakery product specifically developed for the air fryer, rather than an existing bakery item adapted with air-fryer cooking directions.
The product is available in three flavours: Garlic & Herb, Jalapeño and Everything. Each variety is packaged as an eight-piece, 384-gram fresh pull-apart product, with consumers instructed to tear the pieces apart, place them in an air fryer and share them.
Consumers can eat it on its own, serve it with dips or toppings, or use it as a meal accompaniment.
Wonderbrands is positioning AirCrisp around convenience-led eating occasions, including after-school snacks, quick meals, game nights, movie nights and casual entertaining.
The company said the product responds to the growing role of air fryers in everyday food preparation while addressing what it sees as a gap in the fresh bakery aisle.
Nina Abbott, senior director of marketing at Wonderbrands, said the company developed AirCrisp around how consumers increasingly use air fryers to prepare food quickly.
The launch therefore combines fresh bakery characteristics with an at-home preparation method associated with speed and convenience.
The products are baked in Canada and contain no artificial flavours or colours. Wonderbrands’ product information lists wheat, soy and, depending on the variety, other ingredients such as sesame seeds, onion, garlic and jalapeño pepper.
The launch highlights a broader opportunity for bakery manufacturers to develop products around changing household cooking habits.
Instead of competing solely on freshness or flavour, AirCrisp incorporates the preparation appliance itself into product development, potentially opening new formats for breads and savoury bakery products.
Wonderbrands, whose portfolio includes Wonder, Country Harvest, D’Italiano, Gadoua and Casa Mendosa, said it is focused on reimagining the fresh bakery category through product innovation and modern baking capabilities.
The product is exclusively in Ontario through selected major grocery retailers.
