1,108 teams competed for Ülker’s bizz@kampüs competition

This year was the competition’s 14th edition. The teams submitted projects focused on the Ülker Caramio brand.

TURKEY – Ülker has announced the winners of bizz@kampüs, an annual marketing strategy competition in which university students develop ideas for a different Ülker brand every year.

The top three teams were awarded a total of TRY 240,000 (US$6,000) as well as long-term internship opportunities. The first-place team received TRY 90,000 (US$2,300), the second TRY 80,000 (US$2,000), and the third TRY 70,000 (US$1,700).

Undergraduate and graduate students in their third and fourth years working in teams of two or three were eligible to compete. This year, the emphasis was on developing creative marketing plans for Ülker Caramio.

Teams from 131 academic departments and 117 universities in Turkey entered. Erdem Eren Coşkun (Business Administration) and Alperen Davran (Computer Engineering) from Sabancı University made up the winning team, “Caramel Department.”

Second place went to “ShockPops,” which was started by Barış Emre İşık and Hüseyin Kızıltaş, both of whom were Industrial Engineering students at Boğaziçi University.

Neva Kızak (Political Science and Public Administration) and Şevval Şahin (Mathematics) from Middle East Technical University were on the third-place team, “Harmoni.”

Ülker executives joined the students in celebrating their accomplishments at the closing event, which was held on May 16 at Yıldız Holding’s Çamlıca Campus.

Interest in bizz@kampüs increased by 10% this year as the participating students were more enthusiastic about marketing and keen to obtain practical experience.

The tournament, which started with 1,108 teams on February 14, had a multi-phase procedure. The brand team provided detailed information about Ülker Caramio to teams who made it past the first screening.

There were two phases to the sharing of the case studies. The top 50 teams were chosen by the brand team after they had reviewed the initial round of submissions.

A second case study was then presented to these teams. For these semi-finalists, Ülker’s Brand and Finance teams hosted a webinar on April 9 called “Brand Story & P&L Training.” The top ten teams then took part in a “Presentation Techniques Training” workshop on April 28.

Teams were paired with mentors from the marketing and HR departments throughout the competition, who offered advice on project development and presentation.

“At Ülker, we take great pride in seeing the passion young people have for creativity and initiatives like bizz@kampüs. Trust, passion, collaboration, and dedication inevitably lead to success. We truly believe in the imagination, effort, and passion of our youth. Today, we celebrate the students whose ideas stood out among thousands of submissions and once again reminded us of the transformative power of innovation. We wholeheartedly applaud these future creative leaders—not only for generating ideas but for driving them forward to create value,” said Ülker CEO Özgür Kölükfakı.
