SPAIN – In celebration of its 40th anniversary in 2025, SYMAGA, a global leader in galvanized steel silo manufacturing has introduced a special logo and slogan “40 Years Preserving the World’s Harvest,” reflecting its enduring commitment to food security.
Central to this year’s celebrations is a heartfelt tribute to the company’s founder, Alfonso Garrido Muñoz, whose pioneering spirit and dedication laid the foundation for the company’s global impact. Muñoz passed away in November 2023.
Alfonso’s vision in the 1980s to address feed losses and support the agricultural and livestock industries through innovative silo manufacturing has shaped SYMAGA’s mission. His values of innovation, quality, and sustainability continue to drive the company forward as it tackles new challenges in the 21st century.
Starting as a feed and livestock salesman, he handcrafted his own feed silos in a modest 200-square-meter warehouse in Villarta de San Juan in 1985. This initiative evolved into a global enterprise, delivering silo installations across 150 countries and completing 15,000 projects.
This design will be used across all company communications, products, and events throughout the anniversary year, serving as a reminder of SYMAGA’s achievements and aspirations.
A year of celebration and reflection
Throughout 2025, SYMAGA will host a series of events to commemorate this historic milestone. These celebrations will bring together employees, customers, suppliers, and the broader community that has been integral to the company’s journey.
From exclusive product launches to community engagement initiatives, SYMAGA aims to celebrate its achievements while looking ahead to a future filled with innovation and growth.
One of the highlights of the anniversary year will be the introduction of new, state-of-the-art storage solutions that incorporate smart technology and sustainable practices.
In September 2024, SYMAGA announced plans to implement a significant upgrade in its production process by introducing S450GD steel.
This new steel type will replace the current structural steel used in stiffeners and body sheets of its silos, promising to enhance the overall structural quality while reducing the final weight.
The switch aims to provide several benefits, including improved durability and a more efficient supply chain, which aligns with Symaga’s commitment to optimizing its storage solutions for customers.
The adoption of S450GD steel brings a range of advantages for both the company and its customers. With a higher yield strength, the new steel type will upgrade body sheets and stiffeners from 350N/mm² to 450N/mm², thereby reducing the overall weight of the silos without compromising on structural integrity.
