The facility is equipped with cutting-edge technology that automates the entire production cycle, from the initial intake of raw grains to the final packaging of specialized feed.

ROMANIA – The new feed mill in Mizil, Romania, has entered full operation following the completion of an installation project, marking a significant addition to the country’s animal nutrition and grain-handling infrastructure.
The new feed mill has been developed in collaboration withDutch International Trading, DutchTrading, and MGN,with engineering and storage equipment supplied bySilos Córdoba.
The launch of the new international grain storage project in Mizil, Romania, began installation last July.
With this new infrastructure, the company strengthens its production capacity while improving the efficiency of its feed manufacturing operations through advanced storage and material handling systems.
The facility’s storage solution comprises 23 hopper silos configured for continuous-feed manufacturing.
The system includes 9 large wheat silos with a 45° cone and a 1,406 m³ capacity each, 10 raw-material silos (eight at 104 m³ and two at 70 m³), and 4 finished-product bulk feed silos with a capacity of 39 m³ each.
These silos are designed with diameters and ring heights tailored to their roles: 10 m diameter and 13 rings in height for wheat silos, and 3.64 m diameter with heights of 8 and 5 rings, respectively, for raw-material silos, ensuring efficient gravity discharge and a steady supply to the production line.

For the storage of finished product, the installation incorporates 4 hopper silos with offset hoppers, each with a capacity of 39 m³, a diameter of 2.55 m, and 6 rings in height. These silos are specifically designed to facilitate efficient bulk feed handling and dispatch.
The installation includes access ladders, catwalks, structural supports, and upper and lower-level sensors to enhance safety, inventory monitoring, and overfill prevention, reflecting modern agro‑industrial standards for operational control.
The successful completion of this project reinforces Silos Córdoba’s commitment to delivering customized grain storage solutions for the agro-industrial sector.
The successful launch in Mizil marks a new chapter for the Romanian agricultural sector, positioning it as a key player in the European agri-food supply chain.
