Pet supplement manufacturer Lintbells achieves B Corp certification

USA- Lintbells, a leading pet supplement manufacturer, proudly announces its newly acquired B Corp status, demonstrating its dedication to social and environmental responsibility.

The certification awarded by B Lab, an international nonprofit dedicated to reshaping business priorities, places Lintbells among the select group of 11 pet care companies globally to achieve B Corp recognition.

Lintbells is renowned for its YuMOVE supplement brand, which specializes in veterinary joint products for dogs. With a focus on supporting the joint health of over two million dogs annually, YuMOVE has established itself as a trusted name in the pet care industry.

B Corp certification, granted after rigorous evaluation by B Lab, signifies a company’s commitment to addressing critical societal challenges, including social and environmental issues.

Businesses seeking this certification are evaluated across five key areas: governance, workforce, community, environment, and customer satisfaction.

Warren Rickard, General Manager at Lintbells, expressed the company’s founding principles rooted in social and environmental values.

He stated, “Since the beginning, Lintbells was established on principles that reflected its founders’ core social and environmental values. Our B Corp certification is a testament to our commitment to continuously carry these values forward and deliver not only a profitable business but ensure that we meet the needs and expectations of all stakeholders.”

Under the leadership of CEO Fiona Hope, Lintbells earned certification for its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices.

The company has incorporated sustainability into its business strategy and appointed Kerry Doble as the new Chief Sustainability Officer to advance ESG initiatives.

Embarking on a Net Zero journey, Lintbells is actively working to reduce carbon emissions throughout its supply chain. The company is committed to responsibly sourcing ingredients and adhering to specifications that are free from deforestation, genetically modified organisms (GMOs), and palm oil.

Already determined that half of its ingredients meet sustainability standards set by the Rainforest Alliance, Proterra, and other organizations, Lintbells aims to ensure that all ingredients are fully sustainable by 2027.

Lintbells is expanding its ESG efforts to include its YuMOVE brand, leading the way in sustainable packaging initiatives.

The brand has achieved success in creating recyclable pouches, using lightweight secondary packaging, reducing raw packaging materials, and using 85% recycled labels.

The company plans to launch its rePurpose Scheme, aiming to achieve plastic neutrality by recovering an equivalent amount of plastic to what it distributes.

Lintbells is also investigating additional sustainable packaging options to achieve 100% recyclable packaging by 2025.

In addition to its environmental commitments, Lintbells is deeply committed to making a social impact. The company supports its employees through various programs, including life coaching and support for neurodiverse employees.

It also provides volunteer opportunities for its employees, reinforcing its comprehensive approach to responsible business practices.
