Motabar to expand capacity with new 1,200 TPD flour mill from Alapros

This project, scheduled for completion within 10 months, will be fully engineered and manufactured at Alapros’ modern production facility in Çorum, Türkiye

UZBEKISTAN – Motabar, one of Uzbekistan’s leading flour producers, has once again entrusted Turkish milling technology firm Alapros with a significant new investment, a 1,200 tonnes per day (TPD) mega flour mill project comprising two production lines of 600 TPD each.

With this expansion, Motabar’s total milling capacity will rise to 3,200 TPD, solidifying its position as a dominant force in Uzbekistan’s flour industry.

This project, scheduled for completion within 10 months, will be fully engineered and manufactured at Alapros’ modern production facility in Çorum, Türkiye. The new investment builds on the companies’ successful partnership that began in 2019, when Alapros delivered two plants with capacities of 600 TPD and 400 TPD, respectively.

Motabar, officially registered as MOTABAR FLOUR LLC, operates multiple facilities across Tashkent, including locations on Nilyufar Street in the Sergeli district and Ohangrabo Street in the Yashnabad district. The company specializes in the production and sale of flour.

According to FAO data, wheat consumption in Central and South Asia is steadily rising, with countries like Uzbekistan, Pakistan, and Afghanistan consuming over 20 million tonnes of wheat collectively per year. In response, milling companies are under pressure to scale up capacity, enhance product quality, and increase export readiness.

Alapros is tapping into this opportunity by positioning itself across Central and South Asia, becoming a preferred partner for large-scale flour mill installations.

In Tajikistan, Alapros recently commissioned a new semolina millwith a capacity of 500 TPD, contributing to the country’s growing demand for high-quality milling infrastructure amid rising wheat imports and consumption.

Alapros Grain Milling Technology has turned another dream into reality with the SEMOLINA MILL project we successfully commissioned in Tajikistan. This facility, specially designed to meet our client’s needs, once again highlights our commitment to efficiency and quality,” the company said on its LinkeIn page.

The successful commissioning of the semolina mill in Tajikistan marks another milestone in Alapros’ journey to provide state-of-the-art grain milling solutions globally.

Alapros has also completed turnkey flour mill projects in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Afghanistan, reinforcing its presence in markets where food security, wheat production, and regional export capacity are key national priorities

Further east, Alapros has made inroads into Pakistan, where the government is increasingly promoting modernization in food processing. Theleading company in the milling machinery industry, has installed mid-size mills in Lahore and Faisalabad, and has been involved in process upgrades for existing facilities.

“As food demand grows across Asia, especially for wheat-based products, countries are investing heavily in milling technology. Alapros is at the center of this transformation, offering reliable, high-capacity solutions that meet international quality standards, “the company said earlier.
