The acquisition strengthens Dessert Holdings’ lineup of artisanal dessert brands that cater to both retail and food service sectors.

USA – Dessert Holdings, a global leader company in premium dessert, has acquired Willamette Valley Pie Company, known for its handcrafted pies and desserts made with all-natural, non-GMO ingredients.
The acquisition strengthens Dessert Holdings’ lineup of artisanal dessert brands that cater to both retail and food service sectors.
The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
The acquisition supports Dessert Holdings’ goal of expanding its product range and strengthening its presence in the market.
“Willamette’s assortment of clean label, homemade real fruit pies and desserts is highly complementary to our existing portfolio of premium desserts,” said Paul Lapadat, Chief Executive Officer of Dessert Holdings.
“Willamette holds a distinctive market position, having garnered a deeply loyal following, forged key connections with local growers and suppliers, and established long-standing relationships with leading retailers. We see an incredible opportunity to support the company’s growth, bolster its retail relationships, and drive expansion of its beloved products.”
Willamette is well known for its artisanal and customizable selection of fruit pies, cobblers, and desserts, all made with wholesome ingredients like fresh-picked fruit, locally sourced dairy, and buttery crusts made entirely with real butter.
The company partners with small-scale, artisanal growers to handpick fresh produce for its diverse lineup of flavors, including Dutch Caramel Apple Pie, Cherry Crunch Pie, Oregon Berry Pie, and Peach Cobblers.
According to Willamette Valley Pie Company, it will continue to operate under its current management team led by its president, Austin Kelly.
“For more than 20 years, Willamette has been more than a dessert company; we’ve been a part of family tables, celebrations and everyday moments of joy,” Kelly said.
“We’re incredibly proud of our heritage and how far we’ve come, growing into a trusted, distinctive partner for leading retailers nationwide. Joining the Dessert Holdings platform is an exciting new chapter, and we believe they share our passion and values to help us grow while staying true to who we are.”
This acquisition marks a potential turning point in the dessert industry, highlighting a trend of larger companies absorbing niche brands to boost market strength and influence market trends.
Additionally, it may also intensify competition as producers race to meet the growing consumer demand for premium, sustainable treats.
Dessert Holdings’ integration of Willamette Valley Pie Company is expected to influence product innovation and market trends.
With both companies emphasizing quality and sustainability, the merger may enhance brand value and raise consumer standards in the dessert industry, setting the stage for sweet success ahead.
