Artisan Tropic introduces plantain flour crackers to its expanding portfolio

COLOMBIA – Family-owned and operated Artisan Tropic, a leader in crafting delicious plantain and cassava based chips, has added a new snack into the mix with the launch of its brand-new regenerative plantain flour crackers.

The crackers come in three flavours: Sea Salt, Chile Lime, and Tomato Herb. The crackers also feature crispy and crunchy textures.

These crackers’ main ingredient, plantain flour, is sourced from a regenerative farm oasis in the lush coffee region of Colombia. This ensures that the snacks have a unique, nutritious and wholesome element with an environmentally-minded appeal.

In addition to the three new flavours and highly nutritive ingredient standards, these crackers are also Certified USDA Organic, Certified Gluten Free, Certified Paleo, and Certified Glyphosate Residue Free.

To set the bar even higher, they’re free of the Top 9 Allergens (that means absolutely no wheat, milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, soy, or sesame), and they contain no seed oils commonly found in other crackers, which makes them a great school-safe snack option as well.

“Our snacks are made from plantains and cassava and are completely free of the eight allergens that so many people in the USA are dealing with. We are gluten-free, grain-free, nut-free, dairy-free,” said Margarita Guzman. 

Guzman added that the company plans to be a worldwide snack that anyone can eat without any worries about what they are putting in their bodies.

Artisan Tropic won the 2024 Nexty Award for Best Certified Organic Product at Expo West. The award was for their Tomato Herb Crackers, which are made with regenerative plantain flour.
